ABOUT THE ROLE
One of Philadelphia's preeminent regional defense firms is seeking an associate for its Casualty Litigation Department. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Handle general liability and casualty defense matters from intake through trial in PA state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, written discovery responses, and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses
- Appear at court hearings, oral argument, and arbitrations on behalf of carrier clients
- Provide strategic recommendations and coverage analysis to insurance clients
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; strong academic record
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in liability defense
- PA Bar admission required; NJ admission is a strong plus
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Judicial clerkship experience a plus
