We are seeking a dedicated and professional CT technologist to join our team in the vibrant community of Morristown, NJ. This role is integral to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient workflow within our radiology department.
Job Duties
Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence in all tasks.
Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.
Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
Correctly prepare requisitions.
Communicate with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.
Verify patient identification according to AHS policy.
Observe patient condition before and after contrast injections and report changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.
Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
Initiate emergency response in case of complications.
Maintain adequate linen and supply levels in each scanning room.
Assist in maintaining the CT storeroom and outside inventory.
Participate in daily inventory and stocking of supplies.
Notify Lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
Clean and inventory supplies, and participate in routine cleaning of CT equipment.
Manage workflow and coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests.
Communicate with departments and floors regarding patient status.
Ensure immediate patient transport post-procedure.
Assist in performing routine procedures and assess patient ability to tolerate contrast.
Screen for allergies/medication incompatibilities.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the working area.
Notify Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions.
Maintain QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly & ACR specifications.
Recognize unusual conditions in equipment operation and alert appropriate personnel.
Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.
Notify radiologists of any unusual findings to provide optimal patient care.
Preferred Skills & Experience
CT registered; Maintains current certification/licensure as required for position.
