Specific duties include:- Plans, develops, implements, and tracks strategic economic development projects and programs, including real estate development, commercial corridor vitality initiatives and place-based community partnerships, in coordination with county agencies and external stakeholders.
- Develops and provides research, analyses, writing, design, and coordination of reports, presentations, and participate in the evaluation of proposals.
- Supports financial modeling of development projects, including project pro forma review, economic impact assessment, cost-benefit analyses, and impact to county revenues.
- Assists with development and administration of economic development incentive programs, such as the Economic Opportunity Reserve, grant awards, and Commonwealth of Virginia incentive programs.
- Supports procurement and management of private tenants for county-owned properties; assists in the preparation of requests for proposals and supports negotiation and monitoring of ground leases and other transactional documents.
- Develops and delivers annual reports on programs under management.
