About the Role

Essity is looking for an experienced Category Controller ensures that the Professional Hygiene Business Unit operates with strong financial discipline, optimized performance, and full alignment with strategic priorities. The role acts as a business partner to Category, Sales, and Marketing leaders, combining financial analysis with operational insight to drive value creation and resource prioritization across the BU.

The ideal candidate should/could live in Philadelphia, PA.

What You Will Do

  • Category and Commercial Development partnership

  • Analyze product, regional, and channel performance to generate actionable insights.

  • Evaluate innovation projects and other value‑creation initiatives.

  • Support strategy development and resource prioritization (people, capex, opex, A&P).

  • Lead forecasting, reporting, and project follow‑up activities.

  • Cross‑functional collaboration Work closely with Category and Commercial Development management to support decision‑making and reinforce financial discipline.

  • Management reporting Summarize complex financial insights into clear, concise presentations for senior leadership.

  • Budgeting support Contribute to the annual budget cycle and provide ongoing controlling support.

  • Ad hoc analysis Deliver targeted financial analyses and business partnering as needed.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3+ years in sales & marketing controlling (B2B experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to partner with commercial teams to identify and drive value creation.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Expected Compensation
