The Category Leader Electrical is responsible for the strategic and operational sourcing of defined Electrical commodity groups. The role carries regional responsibility with active contribution to global category teams and international sourcing projects.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
YOU HAVE:
Procurement & Category Management:
Several years of experience in strategic or technical procurement, ideally within Electrical / Electronics
Experience at Professional or Senior Category Leader level
Strong background in supplier selection and development, price and contract negotiations, cost and value analysis, and international supplier management
Technical Competence:
Ability to read, understand, and evaluate BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications
Proven experience working closely with Engineering and technical departments
Confidence in technical discussions with suppliers, supported by Engineering
Industry Exposure:
Experience in multiple of the following industries is an advantage: Industrial, Railway, Data Center, Telecom, MedTech, Automotive.
Negotiation & Stakeholder Management:
Independent handling of international supplier negotiations
Confident interaction with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to moderate between different interests while remaining assertive and result-oriented
Close cooperation especially with Engineering and Operations / Supply Chain
Language Skills:
English & Polish: fluent and negotiation level
German: desirable, especially for collaboration with smaller suppliers
Additional languages are a plus
Education & Qualifications:
No strict formal education requirement
Suitable backgrounds include technical or commercial education with strong procurement experience, or a university degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration)
Practical experience and competence are more important than formal qualifications
Personal Profile:
Strong analytical and structured working style
High level of ownership and hands-on mentality
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to bridge technical and commercial topics
Strong team player in an international environment
Willingness to travel approximately 20%

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
Monthly Gross Compensation Range:
z7,833.30 - z16,191.70 Per Month
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual or long-term incentives.
