Position Description & Details

Bismarck State College is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team and support campus catering events. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of catering operations by assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Assist with routine food preparation and serving for all catering events on campus.
• Support the delivery of catered meals and/or items to specified buildings, including set up and take down of catering events.
• Assist in maintaining the dishwasher and dish return area, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Operate various kitchen equipment and cleaning tools to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain required safety and health standards in the catering department.
• Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in processes and functions.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Food service experience.
