Posting Number: 20200292T Position Title: Catering Bartender Position Type: Temp/Intern Location: Villanova, PA Work Schedule: temporary Approximate Number of Hours per Week Department: 423-Catering Position Summary:The Catering Bartenders are responsible for proper table/bar set-up, table service for guests, and knowledge of menu/drinks to be served. This person will apply all safe food/alcohol handling principles as they pertain to this position. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Cleanliness and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All of our associates should improve our systems and overall operation.Duties and Responsibilities:* Set-up of dining room/bars for service.* Taking customers orders and filling the order in a friendly and professional manner.* Maintain a clean and neat work and service area.* Performs clean up and breaking down of bars at end of event.* Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:* High School diploma or equivalent.* Bartending skills and practices.* Oral and written communication skills.* Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision.* Excellent customer service skills.Preferred Qualifications:* Previous catering, serving or bartending experience.* Ramp certification preferred.Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:* Ability to use various chemicals.* Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.* Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs independently.Special Message to Applicants:Schedule varies based on the needs of the department and various catering functions.EEO StatementVillanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian order.
