We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Catering Clerk to join our HUB Catering team located at the Carl Albert Service Center working .
Summary:
Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of catering events in an efficient and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Greets and engages with a smile
- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Keeps equipment operational, systems and building ready for use
- Keeps preventative maintenance schedules
- Keeps maintenance records, following policy and procedures
- Completes repairs and installs replacement parts
- Reports needed changes
* Present any concerns or complaints from event guests to Catering Coordinator in efficient and timely manner
* Support team in any team member absences by assisting in necessary tasks and roles to ensure smooth experience for customers
* Assist in prepping workstations as assigned by the Catering Coordinator (based on morning or evening shift needs)
* Assist in arranging food transport, kitchen prep set up, banquet area set up, serving food and any necessary clean up in both kitchen and banquet areas
* Ability to prepare food for service including but not limited to chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, cutting fruit, preparing meats and stocking inventory appropriately
* Ensures cleanliness, maintenance, safety and sanitation of kitchen and or other assigned areas and reports all necessary problems immediately
* Handles routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of supervisory personnel
* Maintains proper sanitation and safety practices
* Performs all other duties as assigned
