We are looking for a dependable and experienced Catering Cook to join our Dining Services team. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality hot and cold food for catering events while assisting with setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup. The ideal candidate has a passion for food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold food for catering events according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking, delivery, setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup for on-site and off-site catering events.
• Ensure proper portion sizes, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Monitor food for appearance, taste, freshness, and proper holding temperatures.
• Safely operate knives, kitchen equipment, utensils, and other food preparation tools.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supply deliveries.
• Support catering and dining service during events as needed.
• Complete dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and general kitchen cleanup.
• Assist with additional kitchen and catering duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of food service, cooking, or food preparation experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and catering environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and stand throughout the shift.
• Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous catering or banquet cooking experience.
• Customer service or point-of-sale experience.
• ServSafe certification.
