Our catering and events department is all about making delicious Chick-fil-A available for events outside the restaurant. In addition to guests placing orders for trays of chicken, salad, fruit and cookies for their event, we also sell chicken sandwiches & nuggets on-site to hungry crowds at festivals, concerts, sports tournaments and swim meets. Additionally, we have a year-round concession space at some indoor sports arenas to feed their crowds on Fri nights & Saturdays. All cooking is done back at the restaurant so there is no cooking on site.
The Catering Coordinator serves in the Catering & Outside Sales Department coordinating catering orders:
• Is a liaison between the kitchen and the client, the Ensures that every catering order is complete, rung up properly, is communicated with the kitchen and is ready on time for either customer pickup or delivery to their venue. • Facilitates the dispatching of our delivery personnel, event workers and food replenishments at high-volume events when needed. • The Coordinator is also working with our events workers. These event workers are: • Leaving their personal vehicle at Chick-fil-A • Help load the hot food & supplies at the restaurant, ride in the company vehicles with an experienced Events Team Member, set up for service, sell during the event, then load up, ride back to the restaurant, unload, tally sales & inventory. • The Catering Coordinator ensures our personnel have EVERYTHING they need for their event before leaving the store.
Requirements:
• MINIMUM 18 years old - no exceptions • Physically fit - this is not a sedentary job - we typically help our customers to their vehicles with their catering orders, so it involves carrying jugs of tea and lemonade and carrying catering bags filled with food. • Valid drivers license and clean driving record • Excellent and professional communication skills • Pleasant, upbeat and cheerful attitude • Attention to detail • Reliable and punctual • NO SMOKING or vaping allowed before or during work. We do not give smoke breaks. • Must be able to pass every drug test • Must happily abide by Chick-fil-As grooming and appearance standards (no "rainbow" colored hair, no tattoos on face or neck, no long beards - only short cropped trimmed beards allowed, no distracting piercings)
