The Willcox – Aiken, South Carolina

The Willcox is seeking professional, dependable, and hospitality-minded Catering Servers to join our events team.

Catering Servers are responsible for assisting with the setup, service, and breakdown of weddings, private dinners, corporate events, receptions, and other catered functions. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and providing polished, attentive service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans.
• Set tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, silverware, buffet stations, bars, and other event elements.
• Participate in pre-event meetings and understand the timeline, menu, and service expectations for each function.
• Provide professional food and beverage service throughout events.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, passed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, wine, and other beverages as assigned.
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive tables and event spaces throughout service.
• Clear plates, glassware, and other service items efficiently and discreetly.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide warm, attentive hospitality.
• Follow direction from the Catering Manager and event leadership team.
• Communicate guest requests or concerns promptly to a manager.
• Assist with room flips and event transitions when needed.
• Break down event spaces following each function.
• Return tables, chairs, linens, glassware, china, equipment, and supplies to their proper locations.
• Assist with cleaning and resetting event spaces for upcoming functions.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Work cooperatively with culinary, restaurant, and hotel team members to ensure smooth event execution.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow direction and work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to carry trays and lift or move event equipment and supplies as needed.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
