Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming catering supplies, equipment, and food items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse space, ensuring it is clean, safe, and efficient.
- Prepare and pack orders for upcoming events, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Manage the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for reordering to management.
- Assist with the tracking of equipment and supplies to and from events.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics role, preferably in the catering or food service industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
- Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack (certification preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and order tracking systems.
