Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (RT / RCIS)
Schedule: 06:30 17:00 (4 Days/Week) Call Requirement: Minimum 9 shifts per month | Includes 24-hour Saturday/Sunday coverage
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our high-acuity interventional team. This role requires a specialist capable of performing complex cardiac and interventional radiology (IR) procedures. Mandatory Cath Lab experience is required.
Critical Call Requirements
Response Time: Must reside within or be able to reach the facility within 30 minutes of being paged.
Coverage: Minimum of 9 call shifts per month, including comprehensive 24-hour coverage on weekends.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities
Equipment Mastery: Expert operation of the C-Arm and performance of routine lead maintenance and safety checks.
Cardiac Interventions: Assist in diagnostic Cath procedures, PCIs, and the insertion of Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP).
IR & Surgical Scrub: Proficiency scrubbing for Interventional Radiology and surgical cases, including:
Nephrostomy Tube, PICC, and Permacath insertions.
Pacemaker insertions and Cerebral Thrombectomies.
Clinical Versatility: Registered Technologists (RT) are expected to possess the clinical skill set of a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Qualifications & Licensure
Licensure: Active ARRT certification; New Jersey (NJ) state licensure is highly prioritized.
Certification: Must hold a valid Fluoroscopy permit/certification.
Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab environment is mandatory.
