Cath Lab Tech

Pay Rate: $70 per hour - $79 per hour

Summary:

• AM - 10hr
• 40hr Days, 4 x 10s, 7a-5:30p, no set day off
• Evening and weekend call for emergency procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory

Responsibilities:

• Perform all Cardiac Catheterizations Technologist's duties under the direction of the Chief Radiologic Technologist
• Perform and record hemodynamic monitoring
• Maintain proficiency through continuing education credits
• Assist with the radiologic operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Perform quality control standards by using optimum diagnostic imaging
• Perform simple troubleshooting for equipment and request service as needed
• Complete patient billing forms for Cath Lab procedures
• Perform daily calibration and maintenance of the film processor
• Assist with the preparation of cardiology patients having invasive procedures
• Take evening and weekend calls for emergency procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all hospital-related, medical staff-related, and patient-related data and information
• Abide by all relevant hospital policies and procedures

• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, utilizing interpreters when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience with impella, telemetry, and IABP
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass tele exam on day 1 with 85% or better
• MA RT(R) License required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
• RCIS certification preferred
