Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be more than an expert in the lab—you’ll be the guide who sets the standard for excellence. In this role, you’ll balance lifesaving, hands-on patient care with the responsibility of mentoring, coaching, and empowering your team. With advanced technology and staffing resources available to you, your leadership will inspire confidence, strengthen teamwork, and ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care. Your influence will extend beyond each procedure, shaping the growth of your colleagues and the future of our Cath Lab. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring precision, safety, and compassionate care 
  • Coaching, mentoring, and precepting team members to build confidence, skill, and alignment with best practices 
  • Overseeing workflow, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe, sterile, and fully prepared environment 
  • Advocating for patients and families throughout the care journey, providing guidance, education, and reassurance 
  • Driving team success by supporting hiring, onboarding, and communication of new practices and standards 

What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • ​Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or Radiologic Technology program
  • (ARRT-VI) Vascular Interventional Radiography, or (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • ​2+years experience in a cardiac cath lab 
  • ​Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ​Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
