We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Tech in Radiology and Cardiology to provide expert support in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment. Key Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, cardiac stent placements, IABP and Impella device insertions, fluoroscopy, and managing complex procedures such as TAVR and angiocardiography. You will be responsible for maintaining sterile techniques, recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. Scrubbing, assisting with equipment setup, and coordinating with the team in a high-volume cath lab are essential components of this role.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting
- Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including catheterizations, stent placements, and device insertions
- Knowledge of fluoroscopy, sterile technique, and scrubbing procedures
- Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT CI, CCI RCIS
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in Hybrid OR and special procedures, such as ASD closures and TAVR
- Skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with laser-assisted procedures, VAD insertions, and angiography
- Ability to set up equipment and operate as a room circulator
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent
- Prior experience in high-volume hospital cath labs, including traveler experience
Other Requirements:
- Shift: Day schedule, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (07:00 18:00)
- Call responsibilities once a week and every 4-5 weekends; on-call rotation included
- Competence in working with Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication systems
- Validlicensure and certifications must be current and in compliance with applicable standards
