Cath Lab Tech

Job Summary:

• Assist physicians in the cardiac catheterization (Cath) lab as part of a collaborative team.
• Perform both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
• Be proficient in all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Require little to no supervision once trained.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an academic program in health sciences or invasive cardiovascular technology.  
• Exception: Employees credentialed as an RCIS by CCI since 2013 or earlier may not require formal education.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Life Support (ACLS) may also be accepted.
• Must hold one of the following credentials:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) / MRT
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (ARRT-CV)
