    Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a CATH LAB TECHNOLOGIST to join our team!

    The Cath Lab Technologist provides quality cardiovascular diagnostic/intervention services to patients of all ages under medical supervision.

    HOURS: Full Time or .8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period. Varied day shifts Monday - Friday

    Experience/Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of healthcare protocols and standards normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in Health Sciences, or through equivalent experience.
    • One year experience in an active care setting.
    • Previous experience in Cath Lab, OR, critical care nursing, non-invasive monitoring, scrub area and personal computers beneficial.
    • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.     • RRT, RCVT or LPN beneficial.
    • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) beneficial.
    • ACLS certification is beneficial.
    • ECG interpretive skills.
    • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Cath Lab monitoring systems.
    • Possesses a complete and thorough understanding of the operation of all patient monitors including EKG, invasive pressure, NIBP, SAO2, etc.
    • Possesses a thorough understanding of EKG rhythm.
    • Possesses a working knowledge of both hospital and department specific computer systems.
