Cath Lab Technologist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians (Cardiologists/Radiologists) by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.
- Imaging Operations: Operate specialized imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy machines, and prepare power injectors and contrast medium.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for tests, monitor vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate), and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Lab Maintenance: Ensure procedure rooms are sterilized and adequately stocked with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate procedural records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and radiation safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular or radiologic technology.
- Licensure: Active California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license with a fluoroscopy permit.
- Certification: ARRT-R (Radiologic Technologist) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) is required.
- Life Support: Current BLS (AHA) is required upon hire; ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Interventional Radiology is preferred.
