Job Description:

Bassett Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join their cardiovascular team. The candidate will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and ensure proper equipment setup
• Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs and responses
• Administer contrast media as directed
• Maintain accurate procedure documentation
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and care quality

Schedule & On-Call:

• 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• On-Call Required:
  • 1 night/week (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Every 4th or 5th weekend (Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)

Requirements:

• ARRT Certification – Required
• Active New York State License – Required(2–4 weeks processing time)
• RCIS accepted in lieu of ARRT
• Minimum 1–2 years Cath Lab experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures and sterile techniques

• Must be flexible with schedule and call requirements
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to submission
