Job Description:
Bassett Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join their cardiovascular team. The candidate will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile field and ensure proper equipment setup
Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs and responses
Administer contrast media as directed
Maintain accurate procedure documentation
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and care quality
Schedule & On-Call:
4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
On-Call Required:
1 night/week (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Every 4th or 5th weekend (Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
Requirements:
ARRT Certification – Required
Active New York State License – Required(2–4 weeks processing time)
RCIS accepted in lieu of ARRT
Minimum 1–2 years Cath Lab experience preferred
Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures and sterile techniques
Additional Notes:
Must be flexible with schedule and call requirements
RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to submission
