Cath Lab Technologist – Travel Assignment

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a high-acuity acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California. This facility is a designated STEMI and Stroke Receiving Center with advanced interventional cardiac, neuro, and radiology services.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Location: Santa Monica, California
  • Call Requirement: Yes – Weekday and weekend call coverage required
  • Floating: Required between specialty areas within the lab

Procedures & Case Types

The Cath Lab supports a broad range of advanced procedures including:

  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology
  • Electrophysiology support
  • Structural Heart Procedures:
    • TAVR
    • TMVR
    • Watchman
    • MitraClip
  • VTE Thrombectomy
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Neuro Procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care Cath Lab experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Required Certifications/Licensure:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • ARRT or RCIS
    • Fluoroscopy Permit
    • California State License
  • Pending licenses not accepted

Preferred Experience

  • Stroke and Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
  • EP and Structural Heart experience not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety during procedures
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac and neuro-interventional teams
