This position supports the philosophy, principles and characteristics of Catholic education and assures quality service to students, faculty, staff, parents, outside organizations and the wider community.As the primary instructional leader, the principal has direct responsibility for the required program of instruction. Responsibilities include:Initiate, coordinate and oversee instructional planningProvide for articulation of the New York State Next Generation Standards within the schoolUtilize testing data to make appropriate data driven decisions to enhance student performanceEncourage the faculty to utilize a variety of appropriate instructional methodologies and resources to enhance student learning and improve student performance on assessmentsProvide counsel and leadership as needed to move the integration of technology forward into curriculumRequirements:Practicing Roman Catholic in good standingMaster's Degree is requiredLevel 1 and Level 2 Catechist certification required or a willingness to complete both levels within 3 yearsSpecific Skills:Possess a strong sense of spiritualityExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsA visionary and transformational leader with organizational and analytical skillsDiligent work ethic, service minded, and has a propensity for attention to detailMust be able to structure, implement and manage a wide range of school and business projectsThe principal position is a 12 month at will position:Regional principals report directly to the Regional Superintendent.Parish based principals report directly to the Pastor of the Parish.Salary: $85,852 - $133,532 dependent upon education and experience.
