Position Summary: Administers the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement program in compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements. Provides program and project coordination for the Community Development Department including administrative support to the Planning and Building Divisions as well as relevant City boards and commissions. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Under supervision of the Planning Manager, this job class is expected to exercise independent judgment, initiative, decision-making, and is responsible for HUD compliance, reporting, sub-recipient oversight and managing daily program activities. Essential Duties:
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Social Sciences, or related field; two (2) years of responsible experience in federal grant administration, program development, public administration, non-profit organization, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
