Job Description

Dedicated local drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.

Competitive Pay:

• Average $1,199 per week ($62,358 per year)

• Starting pay: $29.98 per hour

• Top pay: $30.98 per hour

• 3% pay increase annually

• Average 40 hours per week

• Overtime: Paid time and a half after 40 hours worked

Work Schedule:

• Home daily

• Monday - Friday; occasional weekend work

• Shift is 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Types of Freight:

• All drop & hook, no-touch freight!

• Driver will move the customers & 3rd party vendor cargo/empty trailers from and to Arlington, TX and Grand Prairie, TX

Special Requirements:

• Hazmat endorsement required

Job Requirements

• Must live within a 75-mile radius

• Must have 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Drivers must have Class A CDL

• Hazmat endorsement required

• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years

• No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years

• No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years

• No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)

• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years

• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential Functions:

• Open/Close trailer door - force requirement: 46 lbs

• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs

• Perform pre-trip inspections

• Drive

• Regular predictable attendance

• Frequent bending for placement of wheel chocks

• Safely enter/exit yard tractor 100+ times per shift
