What You'll Deliver:

Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when requiredManage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customersInteract professionally with customers and communicate customer issuesMaintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspectionsMaintain electronic logbook and complete trip reportsDirect the unloading by customers, when requiredSafely deliver lumber products to various urban locations across state linesMaintain delivery schedules as assigned by dispatchOperate curtain-side trailers and manage curtain systems at each stopSecure loads using tie-down straps; occasionally hand unload small materialsCommunicate regularly with dispatch to report progress or issuesMonitor road conditions and plan routes using GPS or maps to avoid delaysConduct pre- and post-trip inspections, report mechanical issues promptlyFollow proper procedures in case of accidents or incidentsKeep trucks and equipment clean and well-maintainedComply with mandated rest periods and DOT regulationsMaintain accurate trip logs using ELOG and complete Driver Trip Reports

How You'll Deliver:

Valid Class A CDL.Minimum 21 years of age12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 yearsWillingness to travel and be away from home 2-3 days per weekSafe Driving RecordAbility to operate tractor-trailer combinations in diverse weather and traffic conditionsAbility to secure loadsStrong organizational and time management skillsClean driving record with no traffic violations

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the position requirements and market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day, and 8 paid holidays per year.
