Overview: A CDL A Driver is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of an commercial motor vehicleSafety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Deliver aggregate and black top to job sites or between facilitiesOperator equipment in a safe manner Maintain truck log in according to state and federal regulationsMaintenance tasks and light mechanical duties (pumps, gauges, valves, etc.) along with activities in elevated-heights.Truck loading and unloadingRequired Skills/Abilities:Valid Commercial Drivers LicenseThorough operational knowledge and skills of distributor trucks and related equipment to be operatedReliable transportation to and from work siteStrong work ethicPhysical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessaryPassing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conductedConsent to a DMV license evaluationMust have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50 poundsObserve and comply with necessary PPE requirementsMust be able to work in a noisy area with many odors presentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingAbility to cling in and out of trail/box to clean and scrap black topOther Preferred Qualities:Ability to read and understand SDS Hazmat endorsement a plusBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame.
