The Job:
This is a driver unload account. Drivers are required to hand unload all dry freight using gravity rollers. Each load averages 2 to 6 stops with 2 to 3 loads per week. New drivers will complete a paid training period of approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks riding with a mentor before being assigned their own truck and starting full CPM and unload pay.
The Numbers:
- Average weekly pay: $1,700 to $2,100
- $0.62 to $0.68 per mile
- Average 1,600 to 1,700 miles per week
- Unload pay: $320 per load, average 3 loads per week
- $200 per day during paid training period
- Weekly pay via direct deposit or Comdata
The Route:
- 75% of freight delivers in Texas and Oklahoma
- 25% in surrounding states — Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi
- 2 to 3 loads per week with 2 to 6 stops per load
- Home weekly with 34-hour reset
- Dry van freight
- Freightliner Cascadia or Western Star, automatic transmission
- Average truck age: 18 months
- Truck permanently assigned to driver
- APU on most trucks
Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience (40ft or longer)
- No more than 2 jobs in the past year
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years
- No felony convictions in the past 7 years
- No terminations from last 2 driving jobs
- Must pass hair follicle drug screening
