The Over the Road Driver position is responsible for the delivery of our stainless steel products directly to our customers.
This position is responsible for safe loading and unloading of the product as well as securing loads for travel.
The Over the Road Driver must comply with all safety and transportation rules and regulations for all of North America and Canada established by the Department of Transportation.
Essential Job Functions
• Long distance driving with oversized loads throughout North America and Canada. • Assist with loading and unloading equipment and product as needed. • Ensure all loads are secure utilizing chains, straps, tarps, etc. • Assist with assembling and disassembling trailers as needed. • Communicate with customer as needed. • Ensure customer deliveries arrive on time and as expected. • Communicate with Mueller Transportation operations team as needed. • Maintain a detailed log of working hours to ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. • Comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations. • Must maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness & safe manner. • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

Education and Experience
2 years of over the road experience within the last 5 years is preferred. Drivers with less than 2 years of over the road experience will be considered.
Compensation
Base Comp: Based on practical miles $0.75/mile Oversize Loads $0.12/mile Super loads (One-Way Trip): $600/day Based on State of Missouri super load classification Hotels paid while under load Return Trip per mileage standard (non-super load) $30.00 Tarp Pay (Unless tarped and un-tarped by others) $50.00/load Trailer rigging: Talbert tank trailers $75.00 Hourly Pay Work $25.00/hr. Yard Work Stand By/Layover Pay If load/unload is not complete within 2 hours of scheduled arrival time, stand by time begins after 2 hours. Stand By/Layover paid at a maximum of 10 hours.
