American Driver is hiring in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position is built for drivers who have their Class A CDL but haven't logged significant miles yet. No experience needed — we provide a fully paid training program and a mentor who will get you road-ready.
Tuscaloosa's position along I-20/I-59 puts you directly on one of the busiest freight corridors in the Southeast.
Training Program:
4–6 weeks fully paid
One mentor, one truck, real freight from day one
Covers ELD operation, HOS compliance, pre/post trip inspections
Weekly pay throughout — no waiting
After training, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
Typical Week:
No-touch dry van freight
60% drop and hook
2,200–2,500 miles per week
Eastern routes with steady, year-round freight
Mix of day and night dispatch
Pay:
$0.56–$0.65 CPM
Weekly earnings typically $1,200–$1,500
Extra pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
Six-month pay increase
$300 orientation pay
Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
Home every two weeks on a consistent, planned schedule
Equipment:
Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
APUs on all units
Benefits:

Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL, age 21+
Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school — required to enter our paid training program
No major violations in last 3 years
