Description
American Driver is looking for CDL A drivers based in Statesville, NC. Statesville sits at the intersection of I-77 and I-40 in Iredell County — a natural hub for freight moving through the Carolinas and up the Eastern Seaboard.
This is a full-time W2 OTR position with a paid training program for drivers who are ready to get started.
How Training Works:
Paired with an experienced mentor for 4–6 weeks, fully paid
Hauling real freight from the first week — no classroom simulations
Covers ELD compliance, HOS rules, inspections, and customer interaction
Weekly paycheck throughout the whole program
After training, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
A Typical Week:
No-touch dry van freight
Heavy drop and hook — around 60% of runs
2,200–2,500 miles per week
Consistent Eastern routes with minimal downtime
Mix of day and night dispatch
What You'll Earn:
$0.56–$0.65 CPM depending on experience
Most drivers take home $1,200–$1,500 weekly
Stop, layover, and breakdown pay on top
Pay review every six months
$300 orientation pay
Direct deposit every week
Home Time:
Consistent home time every two weeks — scheduled in advance
Equipment:
Late-model Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
Every unit equipped with APU

Requirements:
Class A CDL, must be 21 or older
Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school — required to enter our paid training program
No serious violations in the past 3 years
