About the Position
Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a local delivery position in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role involves delivering refrigerated, palletized freight to retail locations throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $30 per hour
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
- Start time: 1:00 p.m.
- Hours per week: 40
- Overtime opportunities may be available after 40 hours
- Employment type: Temp-to-perm
- Start date: August 11, 2026
Job Details
- Route type: Local
- Freight: Touch freight
- Equipment: Automatic tractors and refrigerated trailers
- Handling: Light touch; unload wrapped, palletized freight using an electric pallet jack
- Delivery area: Approximately 20 to 110 miles throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut
- Typical workload: One to two stores per trailer and two to three trailers per night, serving approximately two to six stores
Key Responsibilities
- Complete safe and timely local deliveries
- Perform dock deliveries to the back rooms of retail stores
- Unload wrapped, palletized freight using an electric pallet jack
- Inspect and handle freight carefully throughout the delivery process
- Maintain compliance with all applicable transportation and safety regulations
Minimum Requirements
- CDL A license
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
