CDL A Flatbed Driver

Job Description:

Staffmark Drivers is seeking new talent in Hagerstown, MD, hiring experienced CDL A & B Local Drivers to join our team. Enjoy competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and the opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment!

Pay:

• CDL A: $30/hr, OT after 40 hours
• CDL B: $21-$22/hr, OT after 40 hours

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Start times vary (morning hours based on customer openings)

Job Details:

• Local delivery within Hagerstown area
• Touch freight | Delivering hardwood lumber, plywood, moldings, and related wood products
• Load/unload using a forklift
• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Vehicle Type: Manual transmission, 53' trailer for CDL A or box truck for CDL B

Job Duties:

• Perform required vehicle safety inspections before, during, and after dispatch
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance issues
• Represent the company professionally at all times
• Read and interpret shipping orders and exception forms
• Complete deliveries as scheduled and communicate with dispatch as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A or B CDL
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Clear FMCSA Clearinghouse Report
• Acceptable MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening
• Must have strapping and load-securing experience
