Drive the Day: Local Deliveries with Occasional OTR

Start your morning with a pre-trip check, map your drops, and hit the road. Most days you’ll run local routes, delivering stone and pavers to jobsites and customer yards. At each stop, you’ll use a moffett forklift to safely unload before rolling to the next delivery. Paperwork stays tight, the truck stays clean, and communication with dispatch keeps everything moving smoothly. From time to time, you’ll take on a longer haul—about 10% OTR—to support our network.

What You’ll Handle

• Primary haul: stone and pavers for construction and hardscape projects.
• Route mix: approximately 90% local, 10% OTR.
• Equipment: tractor trailer and moffett forklift for deliveries and offloading.
• Compensation highlights: eligibility for quarterly bonuses and overtime opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial tractor trailer safely to deliver goods to various locations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Secure loads correctly and assist with loading/unloading as needed using a moffett forklift.
• Keep clear, accurate delivery records including mileage and fuel usage.
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Stay in regular contact with dispatch and collaborate with the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and report maintenance issues promptly.

What You Bring

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of DOT safety standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to lift heavy items and handle manual tasks as required.
• Flexibility for various shifts and occasional weekends.
• Comfort operating a moffett forklift and a tractor trailer.
