About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver for a local heavy equipment delivery position in Louisville. This is a home-daily opportunity involving the transportation and securement of construction and industrial equipment.

Pay & Schedule

• $30 per hour
• Overtime available after 40 hours
• Monday through Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
• 6:30 a.m. start time
• 9- to 10-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Weekly pay

Job Details

• Local routes with home-daily scheduling
• Heavy equipment freight
• Equipment may include boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, skid steers, and light towers
• Heavy touch freight requiring chaining and strapping equipment
• Automatic transmission equipment
• Operator certifications provided for forklifts, telehandlers, and boom lifts

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local delivery routes
• Load, unload, chain, and strap heavy equipment securely
• Transport construction and industrial equipment to customer locations
• Perform physically demanding loading and securement tasks
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members
• Maintain a dependable work schedule and positive attitude

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• 6+ months of construction industry experience
• Heavy equipment experience required; boom lift and forklift experience strongly preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
