CDL-A Intermodal Driver

Now hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for a regional intermodal position based in the Chicago area. Drivers earn approximately $1,300–$1,500 per week and generally return home twice each week.

This account offers consistent miles, steady freight and no routine driver unloading. Six positions are currently available.

Pay and Schedule

• Average pay: $1,300–$1,500 per week
• Approximately 1,500–2,000 miles per week
• Home approximately twice each week
• Both daytime and nighttime schedules may be assigned
• Weekend work required
• Holiday work may be required when it falls on a scheduled workday

Route Details

• Regional intermodal freight
• Routes throughout Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana
• No routine driver unloading
• No slip seating
• Consistent freight and home time
• Less inner-city driving than many local Chicago positions

Hiring Area

Applicants may qualify from approved areas throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. Drivers may live up to approximately 150 miles from the Chicago operating area, depending on their exact location.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum three months of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Acceptable driving and safety record
• Stable and verifiable employment history
• Must be comfortable with regional driving and winter conditions
• Must be available for weekend work
• Must meet all applicable hiring and safety requirements
