THE JOB

Drivers operate local intermodal routes moving containers between the Ayer/Worcester rail area and customers throughout the local operating region.

• Freight originates or terminates in Worcester or Ayer, MA
• Local operation within approximately 250 miles of Ayer
• Majority no-touch freight
• Weekend Wrap position
• 24/7 operation
• Truck remains at the Lancaster yard during scheduled time off
• Truck is shared with another driver

PAY

• $1,500–$1,800 typical weekly earnings
• $84,000 average annual earnings
• $0.42–$0.47 per mile
• $56 stop pay
• $45 drop & hook pay
• $23–$36/hour detention
• Additional activity-based pay
• $10,000 limited-time bonus

Actual earnings vary based on miles, stops, activity, detention and applicable carrier pay policies.

HOME DAILY

This is a home-daily local position.

Drivers return to the Lancaster yard during scheduled time off. Because this is a 24/7 operation, the truck is shared with another driver.

No NYC driving.

FREIGHT

• Intermodal container freight
• Majority no-touch
• Local rail-to-customer and customer-to-rail moves
• Some rail-yard experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• Must meet applicable DOT and carrier qualification requirements
• Reliable attendance
• Safe driving history
• Ability to operate in a 24/7 local operation
• Uniforms required
• No riders
