Penske is hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for local, home daily routes supporting the delivery of medical supplies to VA hospitals. This role offers consistent weekday schedules, strong hourly pay, and the opportunity to contribute to essential healthcare operations.

Compensation

• $26.27 per hour
• Overtime pay after 40 hours

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Third shift dispatch
• Local routes with home daily schedule

Key Responsibilities

As a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will:

• Deliver medical supplies to VA hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of freight
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery and route documentation
• Represent Penske and its clients with professionalism

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be licensed in state of residence and domiciled in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a DOT medical card
• Experience requirements:
  • 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, OR
  • 2 years in the last 5 years
• Clean driving record:
  • Maximum of 2 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years
• Ability to follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
• English proficiency required for DOT compliance
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Reliable attendance and schedule adherence

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, and move frequently throughout shifts
• Enter and exit vehicle and cargo area regularly
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
• Maintain awareness and operate safely at all times
• Meet all DOT requirements for operating commercial vehicles
