    Job Description

    What your day looks like

    Start your morning in a day cab, hook up to a 53-foot refrigerated trailer, confirm your drop-and-hook sequence, and roll out on local lanes. Youll run reefer freight with no touch requiredjust dropping off and picking up on a tight schedule. Most hauls are shorthaul and local, but you plan as if anything can happen, adjusting for traffic and dock times while staying compliant and safe.

    Throughout the shift, youll coordinate with dispatch, document hours and trips, and double-check securement and temperature requirements. Youll finish with clean paperwork and a safe return to base, ready to do it again the next day.

    Core responsibilities

    • Operate a manual transmission Class A tractor-trailer (day cab) to transport goods between plants, retail, and distribution centers.
    • Run local, shorthaul reefer routes with 53-foot equipment; perform drop and hook; freight is no touch.
    • Plan efficient routes, meet delivery schedules, and communicate clearly with dispatch.
    • Follow traffic laws and company safety practices; properly secure and arrange cargo when required.
    • Complete logs and required documentation accurately, including hours of service and trip reports.
    • Be prepared for occasional night or extended-hour driving when operations require it.

    Physical demands

    Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads; kneel, squat, and climb ladders and stairs as needed around tractors, trailers, and docks.

    Qualifications

    • 2 years of Class A experience with manual transmission proficiency.
    • Clean driving history and strong safety record.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
    • Eligible to work in the U.S.

    Skills youll use

    • Expert handling of manual transmissions; manual drive train and axles knowledge.
    • Route driving and delivery experience with excellent time management.
    • Safe, efficient driving with strong communication.

    Schedule

    Monday Friday (7am3:30pm)
