Be the CDL-A pro who keeps a manufacturing plant moving
Join a family-owned trucking team supporting a manufacturing facility in Trinity, AL. This evaluation-to-hire role offers a clear path to full-time placement for drivers who value safety, consistency, and pride in their equipment.
A day in your seat
You’ll start by checking your tractor and 53' dry van with a thorough pre-trip. From there, expect a mix of plant/warehouse shuttles and customer freight moves. You’ll keep lanes clear around docks, stage trailers for loading or unloading, and run scheduled pickups and deliveries for customers, subsidiaries, divisions, and freight brokers. Throughout your shift, you’ll document each move, communicate equipment status, and keep the rig clean and ready for the next load. At times you’ll operate a day cab tractor based on the move plan.
What you’ll handle
- Pick up and deliver freight for customers, subsidiaries, divisions, and freight brokers while meeting company and DOT safety standards.
- Shuttle and position trailers in yards, plants, and warehouses to support loading/unloading.
- Maintain clear traffic flow around loading areas.
- Apply FMCSA regulations for interstate commercial motor vehicle operations.
- Accurately log pickups/deliveries and submit all required bills, receipts, and reports.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; watch for vibrations, unusual noises, or handling changes while driving.
- Report potential mechanical issues to the Maintenance Department and Central Control.
- Operate a day cab tractor as needed.
- Keep the assigned truck clean and orderly.
What you bring
- Age 23 or older.
- 2–3 years of verifiable Class A experience hauling a 53' dry van within the last 5 years.
- At least 2 years of DMV/MVR history with no more than 2 moving violations.
- Proficiency: DOT Medical Card and a current CDL (Class A).
Growth path
This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for full-time placement based on performance and safety.
