Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. The position involves operating a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Responsibilities include loading and unloading laundry carts, establishing professional relationships with customers, and providing quality customer service. The role requires the safe operation of company vehicles, including pre- and post-route inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and following hours of service rules and standard vehicle operating procedures.

Shift/Schedule

Shift: 7 PM to 3 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with potential for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent attendance and meet established route schedules.
  • Exhibit strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Adhere to all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Work well with a diverse workforce and follow directions from supervisors or managers.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies.
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely manner and be flexible to work past the schedule if necessary.
  • Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
  • Perform daily visual inspections of the equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Cross-train on other routes as per department needs.
  • Perform equipment moves to service providers for repairs and service as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record per company policy.
  • Six months to one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
  • Capability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
  • Consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
  • Ability to speak and read the English language.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead and stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to use repetitive arm motions.
  • Availability to drive nights and weekends.
  • Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
