About the Position

We're seeking a skilled and dependable Class A Truck Driver for local, no-touch deliveries of waterworks supplies to construction and job sites. The driver will operate an automatic tractor with a 48-foot trailer and coordinate deliveries with site contractors.

Pay & Schedule

• $30.00 per hour
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs

Job Details

• Route type: Local deliveries, primarily within city limits
• Freight: Waterworks supplies, including fire hydrants, pipes, valves, and fittings
• Equipment: Automatic tractor with a 48-foot trailer
• Handling: No-touch delivery; contractors generally unload materials at the delivery site
• Additional routes: Two days per week may include full-shift round trips to the Oregon coast
• Occasional loading with a sit-down forklift may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently.
• Deliver materials according to scheduled delivery times.
• Confirm directions and coordinate with site contractors using provided delivery information.
• Ensure materials are properly secured and remain within weight limits.
• Verify that all materials have been unloaded and placed at the delivery site.
• Deliver required paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
• Pick up customer returns and local-pickup purchase orders as assigned.
• Secure and return packing lists and delivery ticket copies.
• Review completed deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Fuel the truck as needed and promptly report vehicle defects or other operating issues.
• Assist with warehouse duties when necessary.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, company policies, and DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience driving manual transmission trucks.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
