Role Description The CDL A Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for safely operating CDL A commercial vehicles to transport freight between company facilities, customer locations, and partner sites, following all DOT and company safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading freight as needed, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate delivery and route documentation. The driver will communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and address any issues that arise on the road. Additional responsibilities may include following designated routes, adapting to schedule changes, reporting vehicle maintenance needs, and representing Guardian Logistics Solutions with courteous, respectful service.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current DOT medical certification.

• Proficiency in safe truck operation, including backing, maneuvering in tight spaces, and handling various weather and traffic conditions.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and basic truck maintenance and inspection procedures.

• Experience with local and regional freight delivery, including loading, unloading, and proper cargo securement.

• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.

• Ability to read and follow delivery manifests, route plans, and electronic or paper logs with accuracy.

• Reliable time management skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to schedules and safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a CDL A driver in logistics, warehousing, or transportation is beneficial.

• Willingness to comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and drug and alcohol testing requirements.

• Physical ability to sit for extended periods and to lift, move, or secure freight as required by the route.
