Doug's Underground Service, a MPS Group, Inc. Company is looking for a reliable CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team in Traverse City, MI. This individual will be responsible for moving equipment & materials to and from job sites. In addition to driving, the CDL driver will assist with equipment maintenance, support utility construction crews, and help with clean-up efforts or other on-site tasks as needed. A strong focus on safety, both on the road and on the jobsite, is a top priority. Shift Details: Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Responsibilities and Job Duties: Requirements and Qualifications: - Valid CDL-A license with air brake certification and no restrictions.
- Previous experience as a CDL-A driver, preferably in a construction or utility-related field.
- Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle, including loading/unloading equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist with basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of general workplace safety protocols and consistently prioritizes safety while operating on the road and at job sites.
- Ability to work well with others and provide support to utility construction crews and other team members.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks each day.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying equipment as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
