TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Scotia, NY. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL A Yard Jockey Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm, home daily
- Pay: $28/hr
- Route Type: Yard Jockey
- Freight / Load Type: Recycling/bags of empty bottles and cans
- Equipment: Moving 53ft dry vans with a yard horse
- Handling: No-touch
CDL A Yard Jockey Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: Similar experience preferred
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
CDL A Yard Jockey Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment between facilities
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
