About the Position
We are seeking a dependable CDL-A Yard Switcher to support operations in Livonia, Michigan. The driver will be responsible for safely switching trailers in the yard, moving equipment as directed, and supporting daily yard operations.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Pay: $25/hr
- Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
- Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Occasional weekends when needed
Job Details

- Handling: Yard operations and trailer movement
Key Responsibilities
- Safely move and switch trailers within the yard.
- Position trailers at dock doors and staging areas as needed.
- Perform yard checks and maintain awareness of trailer locations.
- Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and dependable work ethic.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Valid CDL Class A license required.
- Yard switching or tractor-trailer experience preferred.
- Must be safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently.
