Pay: $41,600–$47,840/year

Hire Sync is hiring a CDL B Driver for an established building materials supplier in Akron, OH. This is a hands-on driving position that combines deliveries with warehouse and material handling responsibilities.

You’ll make local and longer-distance deliveries to customer and job sites while also supporting warehouse operations. This is not a drive-only position. Drivers will help load and unload materials, including shingles, and should be comfortable with the physical demands of working both on the road and in the warehouse.

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites
• Review delivery details and verify the correct products and quantities
• Load and secure materials to prevent shifting or damage during transportation
• Unload shingles and other building materials at customer and job sites
• Assist with warehouse operations before and after deliveries
• Pick, gather, and prepare customer orders for delivery
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and complete required documentation
• Communicate with customers and management regarding delivery status or potential delays
• Use GPS and routing tools to efficiently reach delivery locations
• Complete and submit delivery, vehicle, and expense documentation
• Inspect assigned vehicles and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all DOT, traffic, transportation, and company safety requirements
• Assist with additional warehouse and material handling duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Valid CDL Class B required
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Experience operating similar delivery vehicles
• Comfortable performing both driving and warehouse responsibilities
• Willing and able to load and unload building materials, including shingles
• Knowledge of safe loading, securing, and transportation practices
• Comfortable using GPS and navigation equipment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Dependable and safety-conscious
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain accurate delivery and transportation documentation
• Comfortable driving in varying weather and road conditions
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a hands-on delivery position
• Flexibility to work overtime during the busy season
