Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL B Driver to operate a 26’ box truck for local deliveries throughout Rhode Island and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a driver who takes pride in punctuality, customer service, and maintaining equipment to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 26’ box truck to deliver farm products to customers, markets, and distribution points
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and secure transport
- Follow scheduled delivery routes while maintaining on-time performance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations
- Keep vehicle clean and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Class B preferred; Class A accepted)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Previous experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle
- Ability to lift, move, and handle products as needed
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Schedule:
- Full-time- home daily
- Typical shifts may include early morning starts
