Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an overnight CDL B delivery driver position at a company in Meriden, CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The driver will make deliveries to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. overnight. The schedule is to be determined.
The salary is $27 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles safely to deliver goods to various locations
- Load, unload and secure items in the vehicle for safe transit
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure that timely delivery schedules are met
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures upon delivery
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Strong experience hauling cargo
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds regularly
- Able to work flexible schedule, holidays and overtime
- Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings and random drug test while employed
