About the Position
We are seeking a CDL B Flatbed Driver for a small family-owned lumber company that has been in business for over 100 years. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $24 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours. The role is local, with drivers typically staying within a one-hour radius and returning home daily.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $24 per hour + OT after 40 hrs
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1st shift (typically 7 AM to 3:30 PM)
Job Details
- Route Type: Local Delivery
- Freight: Lumber, pallets, and crates
- Equipment: Flatbed straight trucks (automatics)
- Handling: Strapping and occasional tarping (rare)
- No touch freight
Key Responsibilities
- Transport lumber and related materials to designated locations
- Ensure safe and timely delivery
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL B
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- 6 months flatbed experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
