About the Role:As a Ready-Mix Truck Driver you are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to our customers. This role is done in all environments and weather conditions while requiring frequent climbing, lifting, and working on uneven terrain.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough DOT pre and post trip inspections, including raising and lowering the hood.Review delivery tickets for every load to ensure accurate product and location.Drive to job sites, unload concrete, and return to the yard multiple times per day.Communicate professionally with customers and the ready-mix dispatch team.Maintain a clean truck, including washing out the drum after unloading each time.CDL Driver Qualifications:Be at least 19 years oldPossess a valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsementPossess and maintain a clean driving recordAbout Shelby Materials:Shelby Materials delivers high-quality concrete, on-time and in-spec, to a wide variety of customers and jobs.Founded on Veterans Day in 1951, Shelby Materials is based in Shelbyville, Indiana, and has 12 locations serving Central Indiana.
